“I want my patients to enjoy healthy and happy childhoods and develop  into content and contributing adults. To achieve this, I pay careful  attention to the specific needs of each child who comes into my care.  Additionally, I believe in creating a collaborative atmosphere where  parents are encouraged to ask questions, and in return, are given  easy-to-understand explanations of their child’s health and healthcare  options. I believe that well-informed parents make the best decisions  for their children’s healthcare.”

WHOLE-CHILD CARE   Dr.  Curry believes good child healthcare begins by educating parents to  make informed decisions regarding all aspects of a child’s health  including nutrition, physical activity and mental development. This  whole-child approach affects all aspects of his approach to treatment  including advocating for proven childhood vaccinations, using medication  minimally to allow the child to develop their own naturally occurring  defense responses, and monitoring physical, mental and emotional  development as the child progresses from infancy through childhood,  puberty and adolescence.

In response to the  flu epidemic of 2010, Dr. Curry created two separate waiting areas in  his office – one for children visiting for routine examinations,  checkups or vaccinations and one for children needing care for  infectious illnesses – so that well children would not be exposed to  infections.

His courteous,  easy manner and colorfully decorated offices have made him a favorite of  children and families from across the Metroplex.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND   After  receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree with a major in biology from the  University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Curry earned his  medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. In  1983, Dr. Curry moved to Dallas to complete his internship and residency  at Children’s Medical Center, and in 1986, started in private practice.  In addition to fluency in English, Dr. Curry is semi-fluent in Spanish  and French.

CERTIFICATION   Dr.  Curry is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and participates  in annual, ongoing education to expand his knowledge of new and  developing pediatric treatment protocols.
